The BECTU Art Technicians’ Branch has been collecting freelance art technician pay rates for some time, and now we’re expanding this work to include permanent full-time and part-time art technical staff, as the branch also represents those who are not employed on a freelance basis.

We’re collecting information on UK-wide permanent pay rates, including overtime and weekend rates across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. This will help us understand what institutions are paying, identify pay gaps, and strengthen our case when negotiating for fairer wages.
